EVERYBODY SLEEPS … funny how things work out. I wrote the lyrics to Everybody Sleeps over 10 years ago, and yet there was never a soundtrack that was right for the lyrics until now. That’s the way it has always worked with this strange group of oddfellowes called No Laughing Matter. Anyway, the words to this song are about the dreams we all have hidden deeply beneath our frail skin. Dreams that never become reality, as we refuse to put an end to our sleeping. Is it the fear of losing the dream that causes us to keep sleeping; or is it the hard work involved with trying to make dreams into reality that steers us onto the path of least resistance…? And on we go, sleepwalking through life.
